Topping out on top of the world!!

After spending almost an hour waiting for the sun at the Hillary Step, we are incredibly happy to report that Matt Moniz and Willie Benegas are on top of the planet! This will be Matt’s 3rd 8000 meter peak (Cho Oyu, Makalu, and now Everest). It’s not over, by any means, and now it’s time to focus on getting safely back to the South Col minding each step coming down.

Our Everest summiters today: Matt Moniz 1st Everest summit, Willie Benegas 13th Everest summit, Pasang Bhote and Cheten Bhote both 2nd Everest summits (1st for both BBE 2017 Everest Expedition).
