Continuing their trek today, the team will be taking a steep trail up from Confluencia, to arrive at the second-to-none comforts (and unbeatable KITCHEN!!) of Base Camp Plaza de Mulas (14,300! / 4,350m). Our BC has a huge mess tent and a full staff of cooks and porters, world-class mountain cuisine that includes vegetarian meals, free-range Argentinean steak, delicious soups, and fresh fruits...
Continuing their trek today, the team will be taking a steep trail up from Confluencia, to arrive at the second-to-none comforts (and unbeatable KITCHEN!!) of Base Camp Plaza de Mulas (14,300! / 4,350m). Our BC has a huge mess tent and a full staff of cooks and porters, world-class mountain cuisine that includes vegetarian meals, free-range Argentinean steak, delicious soups, and fresh fruits and vegetables daily (and brownies!). After their first part of the trip, acclimatization rotation 1 in Vallelcitos, they are truly thrilled to be ascending Aconcagua now. Tomorrow a well-deserved rest day at 4,350m - for rest, hydration, and enjoying the stunning views and base camp culture (and food!).
