Lhotse Summits!!!!!

Wow, they did it!

Just in that Matt Willie Damian and Kike all topped out on Lhotse just 8 minutes ago! Right on time! Can’t really imagine how thrilled they all must be but the pots and pans must be banging hard at Base Camp! (The tradition down at camp!)

This was Matt’s 4th 8000m peak (Cho Oyu and Makalu in 1 week in 2014) and second back to back Himalaya climb! (Everest and Lhotse in 2 days)!

This was Willie’s 5th of the 8000m peaks list (in addition to Cho Oyu, Makalu, Manaslu and a total of 13 summits of Everest!!!!)

Incredible effort and so well-deserved! More news to follow as we get it!

Our Lhotse summiters today: #mattmoniz (1st Lhotse) Damian (2nd Lhotse) Willie (1st Lhotse) and Kike Clausen (IFMGA guide from Bariloche - 1st Lhotse and 1st 8000!!!!) Dawa Gyalzen Sherpa (1st Lhotse, previous Manaslu with BBE) and Lopsang Sherpa (1st Lhotse, previous Everest and Manaslu with BBE).

Our Everest summiters yesterday: Matt Moniz 1st Everest summit, Willie Benegas 13th Everest summit, Pasang Bhote and Cheten Bhote both 2nd Everest summits (1st for both BBE 2017 Everest Expedition).
