Snow in the Khumbu as we remember the victims of 2015's earthquake today

Three years ago today a magnitude 7.9 earthquake struck nepal, killing more than 8,000 people, injuring nearly 22,000, and resulting in shortages of food, water and medical supplies. More than 400,000 buildings collapsed, and at least 14 historic structures were destroyed or severely damaged, including 12 on the Unesco World heritage list.

Our Mera Peak team have crossed the Amphulapcha Pass today and will be enjoying hiking down towards Lukla with the comforts of the modern lodges along the way for the next few days!
Our Lobuche East team arrived in KTM yesterday to clean up after an amazing trip and summits of Lobuche East (pictured), and are headed back to the USA today!
Damian, Bjorn and Charlotte are waiting out snowy conditions for their Baruntse ascent, it's looking like they're going to have to be very patient but they have time.
Matt and Willie are resting after their first ice fall rotation to C1 where they cached skis and returned to EBC in one day in a fast time. They will be due a higher sleep soon.
We dedicate today to remembering those who passed in 2015. Our prayers go out to everyone in Nepal.
